Enfleshment

Enfleshment is an installation, temporary sculpture and moving image art project. The work navigates the delicate terrain of corporeal existence and inner transformation, drawing inspiration from the interplay between tradition, memory, and the ineffable forces that shape human growth. It contemplates the origins of body and identity, and the complex emotions tied to the sexual maturation, evoking sensations of shame and repression.

Through the juxtaposition of traditional materials like vintage and Chinese furniture with the transient and organic qualities of gelatin, light, and the liquid that seeps from gelatin, Enfleshment constructs a space charged with contradiction. This dynamic interplay disrupts conventional perceptions of art spaces, making the environment feel disturbingly chaotic and unstable. The unsettling fragility of gelatin contrasts sharply with the stability of traditional materials, symbolizing a resistance to established norms and an embrace of fluidity and transformation.

Enfleshment does not seek to dictate a single narrative but instead opens a portal to multiple interpretations. It invites audience into a disquieting yet poetic exploration of instability, where the physical and the intangible converge in a raw, ever-evolving dialogue.
